Virtual bingo
Play bingo with anyone, anywhere: the host runs a free bingo caller with a real voice, and players join on their phones with a six-letter code. Their cards mark themselves, they press BINGO when they win, and the caller checks the card for you. It works in the same room, on a video call, or both.
How to host virtual bingo
- Open the caller on a laptop or computer: the online bingo caller on our homepage. Choose a pattern, such as any line.
- Let players join. Press Phones and TV, then Let players join. A QR code and a six-letter code appear next to the board.
- Players get their cards. They scan the QR code, or go to
onlinebingocaller.app/joinand type the code. Each phone gets its own card, with no app and no sign-up. - Start calling. Press Start game for each ball, or switch to automatic. A recorded voice reads every number, and players’ cards mark the numbers for them.
- Someone presses BINGO. The caller checks their card straight away and shows everyone the result, winning squares and all.
Bingo on Zoom, Teams or Google Meet
Start your video call as usual, then share the browser tab with the caller. Tick share audio (Zoom calls it “Share sound”) so everyone hears the voice, not just you. Players keep the call open on a laptop or TV and their bingo card on their phone. If someone has no phone to spare, email them numbered cards to print: you can check any printed card by its number too.
Bingo night in the room, on the big screen
For a party, a classroom or a hall, put the board on the TV and let everyone play on their phones, so there’s nothing to print and no cards to collect. Two extras help:
- Show it on a smart TV. Open
onlinebingocaller.app/tvin the TV’s web browser, type the code it shows into the caller, and the TV follows your game. - Call from your phone. Turn on the phone remote and call the next ball, undo or start a new game from anywhere in the room.
What it costs
Calling, the voice and players on phones are free, with up to 10 players in each game. The phone remote and the TV display are free for your first game. Bigger games and unlimited automatic calling are part of Pro, coming soon to this website, and already in our iPhone and iPad app.
Virtual bingo ideas
- Team meetings: a ten-minute game to open a Friday call, with a small gift card for the winner.
- Family across the miles: grandparents on one end, grandchildren on the other, everyone with a card on their phone.
- Classrooms: students join from tablets while the board is on the projector. Try word bingo cards for vocabulary practice.
- Fundraisers: put the caller on a live stream and give each supporter a numbered card to print.
Virtual bingo questions
How do you play bingo virtually?
The host runs a bingo caller and shares it, on a video call or a TV, while players mark cards on their phones or on paper. With our caller, players join by scanning a code, their cards mark themselves, and the caller checks every BINGO for you.
Do players need to download an app?
No. Players open a web page on their phone, type the six-letter code (or scan the QR code), and get their card. There is nothing to install and no account.
How many players can join?
Free games take up to 10 players on phones. Players with printed cards don’t count, so a bigger group can mix phones and paper. Larger phone games are part of Pro.
Can players cheat with a phone card?
Each phone gets one card from the host’s game, and the host’s caller checks every BINGO against the numbers actually called. A card can’t win until its pattern is really complete.
How do I share the caller’s voice on Zoom?
When you share your screen, choose the browser window or tab with the caller and tick “Share sound” (in Teams and Google Meet, “Include audio” or “Share tab audio”). Everyone then hears the numbers being called.
