Bingo pattern questions
What is the most common bingo pattern?
Any line: a full row, column or diagonal. Four corners, X and blackout (every square) are the next most popular, and many game nights play them in that order, finishing with blackout.
Does the free space count?
Yes. The free space in the middle of a 75-ball card counts as covered for every pattern that uses it, such as a line through the middle or an X.
Which bingo pattern is quickest?
Four corners and any line are the quickest games. Blackout takes the longest, often 50 or more numbers.
What does “only call needed letters” mean?
For a pattern that only uses some columns, like four corners (B and O), the bingo caller can skip the numbers that can’t help anyone win, so the game goes quicker.
